Patellar Luxation is the dislocation of the kneecap (patella) from its normal position in the femoral groove when the knee is flexed. It has been seen in the Lagotto Romagnolo, and it can be an inherited condition. Good breeders will have an assessment of the patellas undertaken before any dogs are included in a breeding program.
